HOW DID OUR COLLECTION COME ABOUT

We’ve been heavily involved in the classic car scene since buying our 1960 Chev Bel Air 25 years ago, including members of various car clubs because we’re so passionate about it, and find great enjoyment in driving them.

Sharing that passion with other people and getting to be a part of their story, from hearing about how a bride and groom met to nostalgic drives for people who used to drive one back in the day, is what drives us to share our collection.

To be fair, there are a few exceptions. For example, diplomats, defence personnel, or tourists who bring their LHD vehicles here for personal use may get special permission. However, using those vehicles for commercial transport? That’s where the line is drawn. It’s a firm no from Queensland Transport.

In summary, if you’re planning to offer rides in Queensland, stick to a right-hand drive. It’s safer, legal, and saves you a whole lot of trouble.
